Product Description: Cyber Eye is an infrared B/W digital surveillance camera that takes pictures automatically whenever someone moves in front of it and then digitally store the pictures within the micro-camera. This allows you to retrieve them later just by plugging the camera into your TV/VCR. This camera is great for catching someone sneaking around your house or you can put it in your car and aim it out the window (you will need a cigarette lighter adaptor for power--does not run on batteries). Since it works by changes in the picture and not motion, you can take pictures through glass and it will still work beautifully. You can set the pictures to be taken at 1-60 second intervals. (UP TO 680 FRAMES) The unit will automatically add a time and date stamp to each picture. After you return to the site, you can view the saved images by disarming it with the remote and connecting it to the RCA video input jack of a TV or VCR using the included cable. It's that easy! The camera can also take pictures on command by pressing the EMERGENCY button on the remote. Use the 3-button remote to navigate your way through the images, or erase them if desired. Images are stored in non-volatile memory, so you won't accidentally lose them during a power outage or when you unplug the unit. You can then view the images back by turning the camera off with one of 2 key fobs provided. They will also allow you to press the emergency button on them, thus turning on the camera to take pictures at that moment. After viewing the pics you may erase them or copy them to a VCR tape. The camera also has a 8mm lens, and built-in infrared allowing the capture of images of people in the dark (up to 10 feet away). This camera includes with 2 remote controls, a power adapter, and a video cable. Specifications: - Image Sensor: 1/4" CMOS Black & White - Resolution: 320 x 240 pixels - Power Required: 9V/300mA (AC Power Adapter

Rating : - Okay, but not for night viewing through a windowIf you are wanting to use this to look out a window at night beware. At night the leds for the night vision will flash on and then the reflection will cause them to go back off. Once darkness returns in a few seconds the camera's leds will flash back on. When this happens the entire screen turns white and nothing can be seen for several seconds. Because of this I am not getting the use out of it that I had intended. I have contacted a few professionals in regards to this problem and I have been told that any camera with leds will have trouble when viewing through glass because of the reflection. You could try to cover the leds up with electrical tape or something. Although I found it to be too dark to work without the leds in the area I need it for. By the way the minimum illumination for this camera, since it doesn't mention it here, is 0.5 lux.As for the motion sensor, it does work through glass but at the settings I've had it at it seems to be too sensitive and will take pictures even when cars drive by which are greater than 25 feet away. I've tried turning the sensitivity down although I haven't tried it at its lowest setting yet.If you aren't needing a camera for the purpose I have mentioned then this camera is okay, particularly if you are looking for portability because apparently you can buy a 9 volt battery adapter for it. Despite this, I do not believe it is worth 200 dollars. It reminds me of a webcam and I think I only paid about 50 dollars for one of those a few years ago. Some websites are even charging 250.00 for the Cybereye.I wish I would've just invested more money in a better camera initially. I think it's difficult to find a really good surveillance camera in the 200 dollar range. At least that's been my experience thus far.
